I fully agree with the recommandation made in the article: it would not be wise to try to circumvent local French law. An additional reason is following: it is very easy to conceive the compulsory document and the risk would really not be worth while. The Doubin law is not specific to franchising: it applies also to other contractual relationships. As far as it's implementation in a franchise relationship is concerned, the information which must be handed over to the candidate is very insufficient. There are also a whole bunch of bureacratic problems that business owners must surmount. Even so it is a fantastic place to live and it's a small price to pay for some inconvenience.
